It was a dog day afternoon

 Breakfast

Fried local egg with cracked pepper, oatmeal with honey butter

 Lunch

Kale Salad with ume plums & olives, toasted sesames

Dinner

Cedar smoked chicken, kale salad, curried quinoa and onions

To keep from falling prey to the winter blues I have taken to extreme measures of cooking.

Spent yesterday in the kitchen:

Homemade cheese (with local goat's mike from tweefontein)

Kale chips

dehydrated potato chips

Rhubarb & oat bars (with rhubarb the landlords froze from summer)

And for dinner:

Yeasted burger buns

Turkey Burgers (jalepeno & mustard seed sauce)

Baked Potato chips

Marinated Asparagus in garlic & olive oil
