Went to visit some friends at Tweefontein Herb Farm yesterday for a mushroom hunting hike. While we came up empty handed on the morels we did bask in the morning sun on the front porch & take a nice hike. At home I found a huge patch of fiddleheads & stinging nettle in the forest. I cooked up the fiddleheads for dinner with butter and garlic, over brown rice pasta. The were delicious-and still about two more weeks of foraging for them as well!

BROWN ROAD
We took care of the farm this weekend while my boss was away.
Fed & watered the animals & drank coffee in the sunshine by the lake.
My favorite tiny dream cabin up the road form the farm.
Sits on a stream next to a colonial era bridge.
